Is the XRP heading back to 40 cents?
XRP and Dogecoin both lost 5% of their value in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning, putting an end to two days of recovery.
Ripple’s XRP token was trading at 98 cents at the time of writing (7 a.m.), breaking again through the $1 barrier. It has rebounded to $1.03 yesterday morning after a freefall from its record $1.91 established a few weeks ago.
Dogecoin (DOGE), a crypto spoof based on a meme – and touted for big things by Tesla CEO Elon Musk – has dropped to 34c, down 8% from a week ago.
Ethereum (ETH) fell 2.5 percent to $2,739, but is still up 3% from seven days ago.
Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at just over $38,200, down 2.5 percent. It has dropped 5% in the last week.
Litecoin (LTC) fell by the same amount to $186. The currency, which is promoted as a lighter and speedier version of Bitcoin, is down 8% from a week ago, but it had already lost a significant amount of value before last Thursday.
Terra (LUNA) and Polygon (MATIC) had the greatest drops in the last 24 hours, falling 15% to $6.60 and $1.99, respectively.
Enjin Coin (ENJ) defied the trend, rising 44 percent to $1.93, while Livepeer (LPT) and Chiliz (CHZ), both up 18 percent, performed well.
